A possible quadrilogy between Dustin poirier e Conor McGregor has been dividing opinions in the world of MMA. While some think the idea is valid, as the third meeting ended due to the serious injury suffered by the Irishman, others believe that the fourth fight would not make as much sense for the North American, who won the last two. “There was nothing within those five minutes that was competitive. Back in the day you could count on McGregor, and by the way, I'm not kicking a dead dog, I'm just discussing what I saw. You could count on Conor in the stand-up part of the fight and he was a very difficult guy to take down and keep on the ground. You can't count on these things anymore. He's not winning any portion of these fights. And I don’t say that to make him feel bad, I say that to show that there is no need, at least from a competitive point of view, to schedule this fight again”, analyzed Sonnen in conversation with fellow commentator Max Kellerman on ESPN.

After the injury suffered in UFC 264, Conor McGregor He underwent surgery on his left leg and has already been discharged from the hospital. The Irishman must return to his country to continue the recovery process. According to Dana White, Conor should remain away from the Octagon for around a year.
