The fight between lightweights Jon Tuck and Norman Parke, which would take place next Saturday (20) at UFC on FOX 7, has been officially canceled by the event organizers. According to the website MMA Junkie, the reason for the fight's removal from the card was an undisclosed injury suffered by Jon Tuck (photo).
Both athletes were participants in the reality show The Ultimate Fighter. However, while Tuck was eliminated in the elimination round of TUF: Live, Parke was the winner of the Smashes edition of the reality show.
UFC on FOX 7 takes place next Saturday, April 20, at the HP Pavillion in San Jose (USA). In the main fight of the night, the last lightweight champion of the now defunct Strikeforce, Gilbert Melendez, will challenge the UFC division's belt holder, Ben henderson.
