Dana reveals that he wasn't excited about Durinho's victory and talks about the Brazilian's future after UFC 264

UFC President says 'it wasn't a good fight', but the Brazilian did enough to emerge victorious

Dana White is not impressed with his performance Gilbert Durinho in confrontation against Stephen Thompson No. UFC 264 last Saturday (10). In a post-event press conference, the president of Ultimate stated that the Brazilian did just what was necessary to beat the Canadian in the second most important fight of the night.

“He won… That’s just what I felt. It wasn’t a good fight, but he won,” said Dana.

After triumph Stephen Thompson in the unanimous decision of the judges, Gilbert Durinho came to ask Jorge masvidal, Nate diaz e Leon edwards in an interview still in the Octagon. And, despite limiting himself, White responded about the Brazilian's possible next steps in the welterweight division.

“(Leon) Edwards and (Jorge) Masvidal now make more sense than Nate (Diaz). But I do not know. It's the last thing I'm thinking about, to be honest”, concluded the 'boss'.

With the victory against Thompson, Durinho once again appears among the possible next challengers for Usman's belt. Number two in the welterweight rankings (up to 77kg), the Brazilian has a record of 20 triumphs and four setbacks. In his last five fights, the athlete suffered a single negative result, precisely against Kamaru, in February this year.
