Former UFC fighter and record holder in MMA fights is found dead in a prison cell

Arrested, accused of child pornography, Travis Fulton committed suicide in prison in the United States

Record holder in professional MMA fights, Travis Fulton was found dead in his cell, last Sunday (11), at the Linn County Correctional Center, in Iowa, in the United States. With more than 300 performances in mixed martial arts, the veteran was in prison, accused of child pornography. According to 'KWWL' the suspicion is that the 44-year-old athlete committed suicide.

Having worked for the UFC in 1999, Fulton was found around 4 am during a routine inspection. According to local authorities, the indication is that the fighter hanged himself. The athlete was declared dead at 5am.

Owner of an impressive brand in mixed martial arts, Travis has been in prison since the beginning of 2021. The fighter, in addition to child pornography charges, was also serving a sentence for domestic abuse.

As a fighter, the North American competed in 320 matches. The veteran won 255, lost 54, has 10 draws and one 'no contest'.

Travis' last performance took place in April 2019. On that occasion, the fighter beat Shannon Ritch by submission at M-1 Global.
