The controversy surrounding fighter Fallon Fox, a transsexual who has competed in women's MMA, led to the champion of the main mixed martial arts organization on the planet Ronda Rousey. As one of the main representatives of the sport, Rousey was questioned about Fox's presence in the women's divisions and took a position against the permanence of transsexuals among women in the sport.

“I think it should be case by case. In the case of Fallon Fox, she went through her entire puberty as a man, and I believe her identity is definitely that of a woman. But at this point in her life, it's not scientifically possible to make her body exactly the same as a woman's,” she declared in an interview with the program Inside MMA, of North American cable TV.

Rousey also explained what advantages she believes Fallon Fox would have over her opponents. “Just the bone density and structure that she has after going through puberty like a man is an advantage over a woman,” she explained.

The champion was more measured in her words, especially after Matt Mitrione's suspension by the UFC following the heavyweight's harsh criticism of the transgender athlete. Even so, Ronda made her point of view clear. “It's an advantage. I don't think it's fair,” she concluded.
