Happy with the result but without hiding that I ‘wanted more’. This is the feeling of Gilbert Durinho after the triumph over Stephen Thompson No. UFC 264 last Saturday (10). The Brazilian fighter spoke about his game plan for the fight, saying that he was satisfied with the victory but did not deny that he would have liked to have won by submission. The statement was given in the ‘half day' of the show.

“The plan was to stay disciplined, take him down, make sure I controlled him when I took him down and not look for the submission in the first round like I did with Woodley and then end up losing. The game plan was to stay on top, control and crush. But for sure, I always want to finish. I felt bad about not finishing but I beat a guy that a lot of guys don't want to fight. I feel special”, said Durinho.

“I feel good, I feel special. I just lost a title fight, so I had to come back by beating a guy who was very dangerous”, concluded the Brazilian.
