Dustin poirier won again Conor McGregor in 2021. The triumph, however, was not the way the fans expected. In the end. the Notorious suffered a serious injury on the ankle a few seconds before the end of the first round.

In the fight, McGregor connected with good punches while standing, but Poirier responded well with good left straights. The North American managed to take down and punished his rival on the ground. However, when the fight resumed on the feet, Conor tried to attack, but his entire body weight rested on his sprained ankle. The referee did not see the injury and Dustin still connected punches on his opponent until the end of the round.
