“Passion is energy. Feel the power that comes from focusing on what you love to do,” wrote the fighter.
Having not stepped foot in the Ultimate Octagon for over a year, Joanna is not in a good phase in her career. Since she was dethroned by Rose namajunas in November 2017, the Pole won just two of her last six fights.
Her last fight was in March 2020, when she was defeated by the Chinese Weili Zhang in the judges' split decision. The duel was considered one of the best fights of the last year in world MMA.
Even though she is on sabbatical, Jedrzejczyk occupies second place in the strawweight division, behind only Weili Zhang and the champion Rose namajunas. Furthermore, she was even considered as a possible confrontation against Marina Rodriguez.
