“I’m going to break PPV (pay-per-view) records. I know that's the expectation. I've been in big fights before, and it's always electric. But this will probably be the biggest yet. Having fans there (in the gym) will add even more to the atmosphere. So I’m really excited and I’m going to put on a show,” said McGregor.

In total, Conor was present in the five biggest packages in Ultimate history. The record holder occurred in his fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov, which took place in 2018. At the time, in October 2018, UFC 229 had 2,4 million sales.

Standouts in the organization, Dustin and Conor faced each other for the first time in 2014, when they were still playing at featherweight (up to 65,7kg). On that occasion, the Irishman got the better of him and overpowered his opponent with a knockout in the first round. Six years later, the UFC decided to hold a new fight between the athletes, this time at lightweight (up to 70,3kg.) and Poirier showed all his evolution to 'return' the knockout to Conor, in the UFC 257.
