The winner of TUF Brazil 1 revealed that he had to undergo emergency surgery on his right knee and that's why he left the fight program.
“Unfortunately I won’t be on the card on May 18th. I had to have emergency surgery on the meniscus on my right leg,” said Mutante, who has already revealed when he intends to return to the octagon.
“I wanted to fight in this event anyway after this operation, but the UFC organization, being very serious and thinking about the athlete's health first, offered me an alternative, saying that I could be part of the event on the 3rd. August, as this way I would have time to recover properly and train for the fight. They left the choice in my hands”, added the fighter, in a message via his Facebook page.
The UFC event scheduled for August 3rd will be held in Fortaleza and marks the final of the second edition of TUF Brasil. In addition to the technical duel between Rodrigo Minotauro e Fabricio Werdum.
