In an interview with 'UFC Arabia', Poirier clarified that intense striking during training periods for a fight is normal and, eventually, scenes happen. Furthermore, he declared that he is off social media to focus solely on the fight against McGregor.
“That was a professional fighter. I mean, this is what happens in gyms during a sparring hard. There are times when you train hard and things like this happen. There are times when you train hard and this was a difficult training session,” said Poirier.
Involved with the trilogy, Dustin also preferred not to respond to Colby's provocation, who accused him of being a 'bad guy' away from his fans and the press.
The 'Diamond', as he is known, occupies first place in the lightweight division and could win the right to fight for the title against Charles of the Bronx, if you pass through Conor McGregor. Currently, he has a record of 27 wins, six losses and one 'no result' fight in his career.
