With another good fight, Diego Brandao showed that he can enter the UFC featherweight rankings. The Brazilian submitted Pablo Garza on the main card of UFC Sweden 2, an event held this Saturday afternoon (06), in Stockholm, and scored his third victory in Ultimate. In the main fight of the night, after the protagonist's injury Alexander Gustafson, the Armenian Gegard Mousasi had no difficulty controlling the fight in front of Ilir Latifi and take the bill in the unanimous decision of the judges.

Without giving the zebra a chance, Gegard Mousasi dominated the fight against  Ilir Latifi in the exchange. Despite not being forceful during the 15 minutes of the contest, the former Strikeforce champion controlled the actions, landing more blows to beat the Swede, who had only been called up for the duel five days in advance.

Latifi even tried to toughen up the fight, but his blows were mostly empty and his takedown attempts were always well defended.

At the end of the first half, the Swede tried to invite Mousasi to exchange blows, but Gegard did not expose himself and always threw blows with confidence.

At the end of the fight, the three side judges scored 30×27 for Gegard Mousasi which marked his 34th career victory.

Diego Brandao finish one more

Quick on the trigger, Diego Brandao scored another victory in MMA. The only Brazilian on the UFC Sweden 2 card faced Pablo Garza and took no notice of his rival. After a start of study on both sides, Diego was not intimidated by the North American's greater wingspan, closing the distance to land two blows from his rival. Soon after, the Brazilian took the duel to the ground.

Feeling at ease in the ground fight, Diego soon passed guard and went for the submission. With a fair kata-gatame, he adjusted the choke and forced the athlete to give up the fight in the first round.

Ross Pearson runs over Ryan Couture

Ryan Couture's UFC debut had a bitter taste. The son of legend Randy Couture was unable to impose his takedown game against Ross Pearson and ended up suffering from the English fighter's tough striking.

After a small first round, Pearson settled the fight in the second round. With aggressive boxing and always moving forward, the Brit landed a strong combination on Ryan, who felt it, but tried to stay in the fight. However, with a new sequence, Randy Couture's son went to the ground and with two more blows to the ground, the referee ended the dispute and declared a technical knockout.
