Chris Cyborg returned to MMA in style. Away from competitions since December 2011, due to being suspended after being caught in an anti-doping test, the Brazilian took no notice of Fiona Muxlow and knocked out her rival at Invicta FC 5, an event that took place on Friday night (05), in Kansas, in the United States.
Aggressive as always, Cyborg soon closed the distance and threw some knees at her rival. Then, the Brazilian connected a good sequence of blows and took her rival to the ground. From then on, the Brazilian threw a few more blows on top and forced the referee to declare a technical knockout just over three minutes into the contest.
The Invicta FC 5 fight program also featured three more Brazilians, but only one left the event with victory. Jennifer maia had a tough fight with Zoila Gurgel and won by unanimous decision from the judges. Vanessa Porto, who was fighting for the flyweight belt, lost to Barb Honchak in a unanimous decision by the judges. In turn, Ju Thai ended up with her dangerous striking canceled out by Katja Kankaanpää's takedown game and was also overcome in the judges' decision.
