Just over a week after the announcement that Marcos “Vina” had been injured and left the UFC card in Combate 2, the Ultimate organization announced his replacement. On Thursday night (4), it was announced that Iliarde Santos will face Yuri Alcantara “Marajó” on May 18th, in Jaraguá do Sul (SC).
Iliarde was taken by surprise by the news. After all, the man from Pará had a fight scheduled for this Friday (5), at Coliseum Extreme Fight – in Maceió (AL). The 32-year-old veteran athlete has already had 35 fights in his career, with a record of 27 wins, 6 losses, one draw and one unsuccessful fight.
Your opponent, Yuri Marajó, was once the lightweight champion of Jungle Fight and has four Ultimate fights – with two wins, one loss and one unsuccessful fight. Since the beginning of this year, Yuri has been fighting in the bantamweight category, in which he will face Iliarde Santos.
UFC no Combate 2, known as UFC on FX 8 in the United States, is scheduled to take place on May 18th, at Arena Jaraguá, in Jaraguá do Sul (SC). The main fight of the night will pit the middleweights face to face Vitor belfort e Luke Rockhold.
