Stephens shows no regret after push that injured rival: 'I won that fight'

After attacking his rival at the UFC Vegas 24 weigh-in, the veteran fighter said he was 'at peace' and declared that he considered himself the winner of the fight

Just over two months after injury Drakkar Klose when weighing the UFC Las Vegas 24, Jeremy Stephens does not show regret about what happened. The featherweight (up to 65,7kg) stated that he considers himself the winner of the duel and accused his rival of not showing up for the fight. The statement was given in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

“I won this fight. I got my money, so I feel like I won. I showed up to fight, he didn't do it. Klose was left crying. He should have shown up and fought but he didn't. So, I moved on. I'm at peace with myself. I'm very happy because I showed up for the fight. Dana (White) says I'm wild. I showed up 'hungry'. I won the match,” said Stephens.

The confrontation between the two athletes would be the co-main fight of UFC Vegas 24. Still at the weigh-in, at the moment of the face-off, Stephens pushed his opponent. The justification was an injury to Klose's neck due to the veteran's aggression when measuring the weights.
