Scott Coker shows excitement about Fedor's return at event in Russia

In addition to once again having one of the biggest names in history in his squad, the president celebrated the fact of finally being able to hold an event in Russia

Bellator president Scott Coker has yet another reason to celebrate Bellator's return Fedor Emelianenko the organization. In addition to once again having one of the biggest names in MMA history on his roster, the president did not hide his happiness at realizing an old dream: holding an event in Russia. The statement was made in an interview with 'MMA Junkie'.

“Moscow is a big city. For me, honestly, it's something I've wanted to do for the last 10 years, ever since I started working with Fedor. He always invited me and we never managed to resolve it. I've never been there, but being able to organize an inaugural Bellator event in Russia and having Fedor take us to Moscow is a special treat.”

the return of Fedor Emelianenko to Bellator is scheduled for October 23rd in Moscow (RUS). It will be the organization's first event on Russian territory. The 'Last Emperor' opponent and the other names on the card have not yet been announced by the company.

Considered one of the biggest names in the history of mixed martial arts, Fedor made history in Pride and Strikeforce where he was heavyweight champion. The Russian even boasted a 10-year unbeaten record in MMA. The long reign was broken by the Brazilian Fabricio Werdum, who beat him by submission in June 2010. The 44-year-old fighter has a record of 39 triumphs and six setbacks.
