The heavyweight division (up to 120,2 kg.) of the company chaired by Scott Coker will meet its new interim champion this Friday (25), in Connecticut (USA). In the main fight of Bellator 261, Timothy Johnson and Valentim Moldavsky will fight to see who will win the belt. The winner will receive the chance to face Ryan bader for the unification of the title.

In addition to the title fight, the show will feature nine more clashes. The co-main duel will mark the third appearance of former UFC bantamweight (up to 61,2kg) and flyweight (up to 56,7kg) UFC title challenger, Liz Carmouche. After two consecutive victories, the veteran seeks to maintain her unbeaten record in the company against Kana Watanabe, in a clash valid for the under-56,7kg category.
At Bellator 261, Brazil will be represented by a single athlete. With a stint in the UFC, John Macapá returns to Bellator after a losing stint at RIZIN. The Amapá native faces John de Jesus in the fight that opens the show.
