Fight between Brazilian Thiago Moisés and Islam Makhachev is the new main attraction of UFC Las Vegas 31

Due to injury to Max Holloway, which would face Yair Rodriguez, Ultimate promoted a duel between lightweights (up to 70.3 kg.) Thiago Moses e Islam makhachev to the main fight of UFC Las Vegas 31. The event takes place on July 17th, at UFC APEX, in Las Vegas. This will be the first time for both fighters in a main fight in the organization.

Former LFA lightweight champion, the Brazilian Thiago Moses arrives for the duel against Makhachev on the back of three consecutive victories, which took him to 14th place in the category ranking. The most recent of these happened in February, when he crashed Alexander Hernandez by unanimous decision. The athlete from São Paulo has a record of 15 wins and four losses

Training partner of the former champion Khabib Nurmagomedov, Islam makhachev comes from an impressive seven consecutive victories in the UFC. The last of these took place in March, against Drew dober, finally, in the UFC 259. The Russian occupies ninth place in the lightweight rankings. The Russian has a professional record of 19 wins and just one loss.

Event marks return of former champion

Another major highlight of UFC Las Vegas 31 is the co-main fight, which features the return of the former bantamweight champion (up to 61.2 kg.) Miesha Tate. After almost five years off, Tate returns from retirement and faces Marion Reneau. Check out the event card so far below (subject to change)
