“It will be a difficult fight (against Blachowicz), a battle, but I'm improving every day. I have a great team and we work on every detail. After every fight, you see a better version of me. I've improved my 'IQ', I'm in better shape and calmer, it's just a matter of time before the next knockout or submission arrives. I’m working hard on it,” Rakic said.
Asked about the reasons for such confidence, the Austrian fighter cited his fighting style and speed as assets to emerge victorious in a duel against the current light heavyweight champion.
“Stylistically, I fit better with Blachowicz than with Thiago (Marreta, his last opponent). I'm the fastest guy in the division with my reaction and my movements. I've been in the sport for so many years. I started at kickboxing at 13 years old and my first fight was at 14. That movement and that speed are always with me”, concluded the 29-year-old fighter.
Current number three in the rankings, Rakic boasts an incredible streak of victories in his career. In his last 15 fights, the Austrian fighter emerged victorious on 14 occasions. Their only defeat in the last 10 years was to Volkan oezdemir in December 2019.
