North-American Jon Fitch, former challenger for the UFC welterweight belt and recently fired by the organization, already has a date and place set for his WSOF debut. The president of World Series of Fighting, Ray Sefo, announced that Fitch will fight Josh Burkman at WSOF 3, in Las Vegas, on June 14th.
The director had declared, shortly before WSOF 2, last Saturday (23), that the winner of the fight between Josh Burkman and Aaron Simpson would be Jon Fitch's first opponent. Burkman knocked out Simpson with a knee in the first round, guaranteeing the victory and his place as Fitch's opponent.
WSOF 3 is scheduled for June 14th and takes place in the city of Las Vegas, in the state of Nevada (USA). The location that will host the event has not yet been defined by the organization. So far, only two fights have been announced for fight night: Jon Fitch vs Josh Burkman and John Gunderson vs Dan Lauzon.
