Despite the athletes' desire to face each other, the fight between Matt Brown and Dan Hardy will be left for another opportunity. That's because an injury took the Englishman out of the fight, scheduled for UFC on FOX 7. After the injury was announced, the Ultimate organization hurried to announce Hardy's replacement: Canadian Jordan Mein.

Jordan “Young Gun” Mein is only 23 years old, but he has a record of 35 fights as a professional. The Canadian won 27 fights and lost another 8. In his only fight for Ultimate, Mein won Dan Miller at UFC 158, on March 16th.

The American is coming off a good run in the UFC and had a very positive year in 2012 in the organization. Brown fought four fights last year and won them all – against Chris Cope, Stephen Thompson, Luis “Beição” Ramos and Mike Swick.

UFC on FOX 7, the event that will host a duel between welterweights, is scheduled to take place on April 20, at HP Pavilion in San Jose (California). The main fight of the night is for the lightweight category belt, between Ben henderson and Gilbert Melendez.
