Lavar Johnson is no longer a UFC fighter. The heavyweight was fired by the organization after the announcement that he had been caught in the anti-doping test that followed the 157th edition of Ultimate, held on February 23rd. Sources close to the athlete confirmed the information to the website MMA Junkie.

The anti-doping result indicated that Johnson had high levels of testosterone in his body, which led the California State Athletic Commission (CSAC) to declare “that testosterone was compatible with the administration of steroids”.

PUBLICITY:

Lavar Johnson is the second athlete fired in recent days after a doping episode. Japanese Riki Fukuda was also released by Ultimate following the results of the UFC Japan 2013 drug test.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
