Brazilian Rogério Bontorin is caught in an anti-doping test

The flyweight fighter (up to 56,7 kg) tested positive for the use of a diuretic. The substance is the same that suspended Anderson Silva and Junior Cigano

The Brazilian Rogerio Bontorin was caught in an anti-doping test for using a diuretic. The sample was collected shortly before the victory against Matt schnell, on May 15th, for the fly division (up to 56,7 kg.).

The report released by the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) stated that the diuretic hydrochlorothiazide was found in the Brazilian's exam. Bontorin claims that the substance was ingested through a contaminated supplement.

The substance detected in Bontorin's tests has already been found in tests on other Brazilian fighters. Anderson Silva e Junior Gypsy were suspended for one year and two months, respectively, for using the medication.
