“I think his last fight was scheduled today (Demian Maia). I don't think he's going to come back. It must have served as the last of his career,” White said.

Se Demian Maia remains in MMA, it seems that his path will be away from Ultimate. After all, the duel against Belal marked the last of his contract with the organization and, judging by Dana White's statement, the contract will not be renewed.

The Brazilian had not ruled out renewing another farewell, against Donald Cerrone. Plans, however, may have changed with the new setback. At 43 years old, Maia has a record of 39 wins and 11 losses in his career. In his career, he challenged for the belt on two occasions, but never became Ultimate champion.
