Anthony Pettis feels ill at weigh-in and leaves this Thursday's PFL fight

Former UFC champion leaves the scene and has a fight rescheduled for June 25; opponent, however, is changed and will be Raush Manfio, who would face Nathan Schulte

A major loss for the PFL show confirmed for this Thursday (10). Event Stele, Anthony Pettis He felt ill during the official weigh-in held this Wednesday (9), and is out of action for the show. The former UFC champion, however, was not removed from the lightweight tournament (up to 70,3kg.). The fighter, who would face Alex Martinez, will now exchange forces against Raush Manfio on June 25th. The information was released by 'Combate'.

With Pettis out, Brazilian Nathan Schulte was responsible for facing Martinez in this Thursday's event. The exchange can be considered a temporary relief for Tupiniquim, as the current champion of the tournament would face precisely Raush Manfio, his great friend, who will now face Anthony in the coming weeks.

Scheduled to perform in two weeks, Pettis will be integrated into the event which, for now, will have Kayla harrison as a great protagonist. One of the organization's biggest stars, the Olympic champion will have another test in MMA, against Cindy Dandois, and will seek to continue her path towards the title and the dream prize of US$1 million (around R$5,8 million).

Considered a PFL bet for the 2021 season, Pettis debuted with the organization in April. Hired to continue his successful career, the American was unsuccessful in his debut and ended up being defeated by Clay Collard, in a unanimous decision by the judges.
