“I want to tell Brittney that she doesn't seem confident in anything she's saying. First, she said she would beat me in 15 seconds, now she said it will be in the second round. The truth is, she knows she's going to lose. I've been training for seven months at 'Jackson Wink MMA' with big names like Arlene Blencowe, Holly holm e Jon Jones. I didn’t come to the PFL with all my boxing history to have my dreams destroyed by someone who isn’t even a serious fighter”, declared Claressa.

Asked if Britney's experience in mixed martial arts could make any difference in the fight between them, Claressa exuded confidence. The North American declared that she will show everyone that she is now an MMA fighter and was dismissive of her opponent's level.

“I hope Brittney doesn't think she's going to beat me. She's been in MMA for 12 years but hasn't been good at anything except jiu-jitsu. I'm a great athlete, a great person and I'm getting ready to get out there and shut a lot of people up. I'm not just a boxer, I'm an MMA fighter now. Just accept it”, concluded Shields.
