Jared Cannonier defends Paulo Borrachinha after criticism over the salaries paid by Ultimate

The North American fighter echoed the Brazilian's complaints and lamented the fact that MMA athletes receive much smaller scholarships than boxing fighters.

After Paulo borrachinha withdraw from the duel against Jared Cannonier In protest at the scholarship fees paid by Ultimate, the Brazilian's rival came to his defense. 'Killa Gorilla' echoed the Tupiniquim athlete's complaints and agreed that the salaries received by UFC athletes are lower compared to boxing fighters. The statement was given in an interview with 'Submission Radio'.

“MMA athletes in general are not paid well compared to boxing athletes. So, I want to say that I understand your point. I can't hate or punish him for taking that stance. very bold to say, 'I'm not going to fight unless you pay me more money.' Someone has to fight for us fighters to have better salaries,” said Canonnier.
