Nick Diaz couldn't find himself in the octagon in front of Georges St Pierre and was defeated by unanimous decision by the judges in the main fight of UFC 158, an event held this Saturday night (16), in Montreal, Canada. Still shaken by the setback, the former Strikeforce champion announced his retirement while still in the Octagon.

“I think I already did what I had to do. I have to decide if I still want to continue, but I think I’ll end it here,” said Diaz.

At the beginning of the press conference after the event, Dana White, president of the organization, announced that Nick was really willing to hang up his gloves.

“I don't think Diaz should retire. He cannot take the fight against St. Pierre as a parameter”, said the director. “Nick's biggest struggle is with other things and you know that,” added White, remembering the fighter's involvement with drugs.

It's a shame MMA is very boring, there's a lack of guys like Nick who sell fights and know how to provoke a bad boy….
