One of the protagonists of UFC Las Vegas 28, Augusto Sakai ended up not having the expected result against Jairzinho Rozenstruik. Knocked out by the 'giant' in the last second of the first round, the Paraná native vented about the defeat he had suffered. On his social networks, the fighter addressed the issue.

“I just wanted to say that I'm fine. My heart is broken, but physically I'm fine. I just took a few stitches. I would like to thank everyone who watched the fight and sent messages. I love fighting here and I wanted to thank you for everything. I’ll come back stronger”, said the Brazilian.

Last weekend, Sakai had the opportunity to get closer to a future title fight. Scheduled to face one of the most feared names in the category, the fighter, if he wins, would be one step away from the top 5 heavyweights (up to 120,2kg).

In the fight, however, Augusto ended up succumbing to his opponent's physical strength. After a good start to the fight, the man from Paraná couldn't resist a series of blows from his rival and ended up being knocked out.

With the negative result, Sakai suffered the second consecutive defeat in his career. Jairzinho, in turn, recovered from the setback he suffered to Cyryl Gane, in February this season.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
