The meteoric rise in the light heavyweight division (up to 93kg.) of Ultimate did not mean that Jiri Prochazka forget your past. After two consecutive victories in the organization, the Czech spoke about the main differences between competing for the company and for RIZIN FF. He also highlighted that his performances are influenced by his experiences in Japan.

“Saitama Super Arena. It's such a huge open space that it makes you feel like you've been swallowed up. It's almost like being on a giant spaceship. Imagine that. I was always like, 'What?!' And then there are all these ceremonies around, sparklers, performances, announcements, fireworks, displays and everything else. It has a unique and unmistakable atmosphere,” said Prochazka in an interview with the podcast 'Fair Play Thinker'.
At the Saitama Super Arena, in Tokyo, Jiri had nine fights and was able to feel the sensations of the maximum capacity, which holds 36.500 people. In Ultimate, so far, he has competed only in the absence of an audience, but he has told the difference between the organizations.
“Comparing it to the UFC now, it doesn’t matter, even if there was a crowd. You just go there focused on the fight. There are no distractions around. Pure fighting focus. Nothing can confuse you after this experience in Japan”, concluded the fighter.
Former RIZIN champion, Prochazka needed just two appearances in Ultimate to reach the elite of the under-93kg category. With two consecutive knockouts, the athlete caught the eyes of the company's management and, today, occupies second place in the division, behind only Teixeira and Jan, who holds the belt.
