“We fight in rings, cages, circles and mats. Anywhere is good for us. But we really fought! If you leave 10 boxers in a cell and 10 mommy fighters, who will live and who will die? Case closed. Take your gloves and shoes and shove them up your b****,” Alvarez wrote.

Eddie's criticism can also be understood as a way of emphasizing that only MMA fighters migrate to boxing, but exceptions to the contrary are rare. The culture of 'challenges' began after Conor McGregor face Floyd Mayweather, soon followed by the rise of the YouTuber Jake Paul, who knocked out Ben Askren and is now preparing to face the former welterweight champion (under 77kg.), Tyron woodley, Anderson Silva makes his debut in the 'noble art' in front of Julio Cesar Chávez Jr.

Alvarez, who has fought most of the lightweight division's stars, such as Conor McGregor, Dustin poirier e Justin gaethje, currently has a record of 30 wins, seven losses and one fight without result. In his last fight, he was defeated by Rae Yoon Ok at 'ONE Championship' in April this year.
