Heavyweight Antônio “Pezão” Silva can breathe a sigh of relief. After the accusation of doping, due to the use of boldenone, in winning the EliteXC belt, on July 26th, the Brazilian managed to prove his innocence to the Athletic Commission this Thursday. Pezão carried out a new test 10 days after the first test, in the same laboratory and the result was negative.
“The second test came back negative, carried out ten days after the positive result. If he had taken something, it would have been impossible for it to be negative, boldenone stays in the body for more than 12 months”, said Alex Davis, the fighter's manager in an interview with Tatame magazine.
