“There is a big fight to be fought, which is against Francis Ngannou. It's a showdown that all fans want to see, not just UFC enthusiasts, but fight fans. That is my task: to see if there is the possibility of promoting the duel and representing Jon Jones, the legend, with the UFC”, said Schaefer.

Replacing Malki and Abe Kawa, da'First Round Management', which led Jones' career for more than 10 years, Richard arrives at a time of 'war' between the athlete and Ultimate. In an attempt to promote an agreement between the parties, the agent highlighted the good relationship with Dana White as an important point for the solution.

“Dana and I have a great relationship. We respect each other. We've known each other for a long time. I think you could see from the comments. I respect him and he respects me. I know the pay-per-view business as well as anyone, as does he. What matters is finding a common denominator. So, we will meet soon to ensure a good deal for everyone. In my boxing experience, I've done the (Floyd) Mayweather and Canelo (Alvarez) fights, and so the best hits are usually the ones that don't make anyone happy, but that they can live with. That’s what I’m going to do”, he said.

With Schaefer on the scene, the 'soap opera' between Jones and UFC could soon gain new chapters. Over the past few months, the athlete and the organization have been at war. The MMA legend is asking for better pay and is looking for a super fight for the heavyweight belt. Ultimate, however, refuses to comply'Bones', criticizing the high demands of the former light heavyweight champion (up to 93kg.).
