Despite all the controversy that culminated in the departure of Diego Sanchez from Ultimate without his official farewell, Dana White seems to have no grudge against the fighter. Even though he is unsure about the possibility of rehiring him, the agent reported that there is gratitude and even made himself available to the veteran for possible conversations.

“This will always be Diego Sánchez’s home and he can pick up the phone and call me. He will always be part of this company's history and, as long as I'm here, he will be respected for everything he did for 'The Ultimate Fighter' and UFC,” White said in an interview with the website 'Yahoo Sports'.

The feud between Dana and Sanchez began after the veteran's partnership with Joshua Fabia, with whom the 'big boss' did not have a good relationship. In fact, this caused White to fire Diego before his farewell fight against Donald Cerrone. Now, however, the fighter has broken up with his former coach.

Dana White, however, did not discuss a possible return Diego Sanchez to Ultimate. According to him, the veteran may be willing to compete in other organizations.

“I honestly don't know. Even when we were having his farewell fight, I didn't like the fact that he was still fighting. It doesn't matter what I do. If I let him go, he'll probably end his career somewhere else. Do you know what I mean? That's what I was thinking at the time. I love him. He wanted one more fight and I was going to give it. So, all hell breaks loose and here we are today”, concluded the president.

Diego Sanchez gained great notoriety after winning the first season of the reality show 'The Ultimate Fighter'. Since then, there have been 32 fights in the organization with 19 wins and three losses. In his last fight, the veteran was defeated by Jake matthews by unanimous decision in the UFC 243 in September 2020.
