Brazilian promise among welterweights (up to 77kg.), Michael Pereira had confirmed his first commitment in the Octagon in 2021. Xodó Tupiniquim in Ultimate, the 'Paraense Voador' will be one of the stars in UFC 264, which takes place on July 10, and will face Niko Price. The information was released by the company and athletes on social media.

Experiencing a great moment in his career, Pereira will have the chance to take another step towards the top 15 in the category led by Kamaru Usman. After overcoming a delicate moment, when he suffered two negative results in a row, the Brazilian turned things around and, today, has two consecutive victories.
In Ultimate since 2019, Michel has not performed since the victory over Kalinn Williams, in December of last season. On that occasion, 'Paraense Voador' surpassed the promise of the category, winning in a unanimous decision by the judges.
If the moment is good for Tupiniquim, Price seeks stability. Known for his aggressiveness in the octagon, the American comes from a draw against Donald Cerrone and has not won a commitment since October 2019.
At 27 years old, Pereira has made 38 appearances in professional MMA, with 25 wins, 11 losses and two 'no result' fights. Niko, 31, has 14 positive results, four negatives and two 'I didn't answer'.
In addition to Michel, so far, two more Brazilians are part of the July show. In the co-main fight, Gilbert Durinho faces Stephen Thompson. Still in the second half of the event, Jennifer maia exchange forces with Jessica Eye.
