Former UFC champion uses social media to announce agreement with Richard Schaefer, great figure in the 'noble art'

After making public the end of the partnership with businessmen Malki and Abe Kawa, from 'First Round Management', Jon Jones It already has a new name to represent it in the coming years. On his social networks, the former UFC champion confirmed the agreement with Richard Schaefer, a figure known for major promotions in the boxing world. Now, the agent will take care of negotiations involving 'Bones' and his future projects.

“I kept Richard Schaefer as my advisor. Richard has been involved in combat sports for over 20 years and has promoted some of the biggest pay-per-views during that time. Some like (Floyd) Mayweather, (Oscar) De La Hoya, Canelo (Alvarez), (Bernard) Hopkins, (Marco Antonio) Barrera and (Juan Manuel) Márquez had exciting events that Richard promoted and produced. His knowledge and experience in the pay-per-view and combat sports industry is incredible,” Jon wrote on his Twitter account. Twitter.

One of the biggest obstacles between the parties is the requirement of 'Bones' for higher amounts received for presentations.

Since August last season, Jon has been preparing for his long-awaited debut in the organization's heavyweight division (up to 120,2kg). Initially, Ultimate had verbally agreed on a superfight between the former light heavyweight champion and the winner of the confrontation between Stipe Miocic and Ngannou.
