Jon Fitch: 'I always thought the UFC had a problem with me'

Almost 20 days after the surprising dismissal, welterweight analyzed his time in Ultimate

Jon Fitch back at UFC 141North-American Jon Fitch was considered one of the main athletes in the UFC welterweight division, but after a series of two defeats in three fights he ended up being fired from the organization. Now, with a contract signed with the World Series of Fighting (WSOF), he revealed that he felt there was a problem between him and Ultimate.

“The dismissal was a surprise, but not that big. I always felt like there was some kind of problem between me and the UFC. I never understood what it was. I never felt like they were happy with me, they never talked to me or explained anything about how they felt or where they stood, so it was a surprise in that sense. But it wasn't a surprise in the sense that I kind of felt it (the dismissal) coming," said Fitch, in an interview with the program  Inside MMA.

With an MMA record of 24 wins and five losses, including 14 wins and three losses in the UFC, Jon Fitch will make his WSOF debut on June 14th, with no opponent yet defined.
