Willing to resume his MMA career, Luke Rockhold exudes confidence even before returning to active duty. Former middleweight champion (up to 83,9kg), the North American spoke sincerely about a possible fight Israel adesanya. According to the veteran, his technique would be enough to surprise the current leader of the group, thus being able to regain the throne of the division.

“I know what Israel is capable of. I have studied it for a long time. I like his style, but I think he's beatable in many aspects. I don't think there are many guys who can face him like I can,” said Luke, in an interview with 'ESPN'.
For the veteran, who hasn't performed since 2019, the secret to beating Adesanya may have been, in part, revealed by Jan Blachowicz, who beat the Nigerian in the lightweight champion test among light heavyweights (up to 93kg.), in March. Thinking like this, Rockhold explained.
“If I stay relaxed, it’s a game I can play. If we get the takedowns, I will do much better than Jan did, I tell you that,” she concluded.
Middleweight champion between 2015 and 2016, the North American is not experiencing a great moment in his career. With a low frequency in the octagon, the fighter comes from three defeats in the last five fights. In his last commitment, Luke tested himself in the top division, but was unsuccessful, ending up knocked out by Blachowicz in the UFC 239.
