Retired since October 2020, Khabib Nurmagomedov continues to enjoy prestige in the world of MMA. Representative of the Russian legend, Ali Abdelaziz revealed that he had received a proposal for the 'dream fight' from several fans of the sport. The agent, however, categorically frustrated fans, ensuring that the 'Eagle's' desire is to remain out of action.

“Two weeks ago, or ten days ago, Dana White called me. He said: 'Georges St Pierre said he would fight Khabib in a non-title fight (weighing) 74,8kg'. In a way, we were waiting for Georges. I like Georges, he's my friend. We've been waiting for him for about four or five years. Now, GSP said: 'Khabib is retired. I'm retired. How about going back and fighting Khabib now?” admitted the agent, in an interview with 'Hotboxin' with Mike Tyson.
Speaking openly about the subject, Abdelaziz went further by reinforcing Khabib's interest in following the plan of remaining retired. The businessman stated that Nurmagomedov did not appear 'shaken' when he was the target of a million-dollar proposal to test himself in boxing against the legendary Floyd Mayweather.
“Khabib received an offer of US$100 million (around R$513 million), after he retired, to face Floyd Mayweather. US$100 million. You can ask Floyd, you can ask anyone. Khabib said: 'No, I'm retired. I told my mother I'm retired. I'll keep my word to her. If my mother tells me to fight again, maybe I will. But, now, she told me not to fight,” he signed off.
Former UFC lightweight champion (up to 70,3kg), Khabib left the sport almost a year ago, motivated by the death of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, in July last season. The Russian's last performance took place at UFC 254, when finished Justin gaethje and unified the category title. Still in the octagon, visibly emotional, the fighter stated that he made a promise to his mother and assured that he found no point in continuing to compete without the presence of his main coach, mentor and encourager.
