Bulldoguinho fulfills his promise and overpowers rival with devastating knockout in the first round of UFC Vegas 27

Opponent of Victor Rodriguez, Brazilian returns to show and wins confrontation in less than a minute

I couldn't even sweat. One of the Brazilian representatives at the UFC Las Vegas 27, Bruno Bulldoguinho put on a show again in the Octagon. Victor Rodriguez's opponent this Saturday (22), the São Paulo native needed less than a minute to impose a tough victory over his opponent. With a devastating knockout in the first round, the athlete achieved the second positive result in a row.

Having his second fight in 2021, Bruno confirmed his good form in the organization. In March, the Brazilian won his first victory in the organization and is now continuing his journey towards the top of the flyweight category (up to 56,7kg).

With the defeat to Bulldoguinho, Rodriguez continues without winning in the organization. The North American debuted with the company in October 2020 and now has the warning signal turned on.

In the interview after the triumph, Bulldoguinho challenged a compatriot to his new challenge. In conversation with Paul felder, the combatant called for a confrontation against Rogerio Bontorin, current number eight in the division led by Deiveson Figueiredo.

At the beginning of the confrontation, Bulldoguinho took the initiative with a right cross, which was responded to in kind by his opponent. The Brazilian surprised Rodriguez again with a straight shot, which shook his opponent. Afterwards, the São Paulo native knocked Victor down with a right 'bomb', which exploded on the North American's chin, and he collapsed. Representative of welterweights (up to 77kg.), Claudius Hannibal He's not having the best moment in his career. In the confrontation against the veteran Court mcgee, the Brazilian was largely dominated and was unable to impose his strategy against the North American. After three rounds, the Mato Grosso native ended up defeated by unanimous decision from the judges.

After losing his first fight with UFC gloves in 2020, Hannibal now has his second commitment without a win. Cláudio's last positive result occurred in August 2019.

Winner of TUF (The Ultimate Fighter) 11, McGee was able to breathe in the organization. An employee of the organization since 2010, the veteran had five setbacks in his last six fights. Now, the fighter is triumphant again after more than two years.

There was no gas Chris Barnett. Substitute for Philip Lins at UFC Vegas 27, the heavyweight (up to 120,2 kg) showed strength, but couldn't handle the pressure against Ben Rothwell. After a first round of frank striking, the 'giant', visibly exhausted, succumbed and ended up being submitted by the veteran in the second stage.

At 39 years old, Rothwell has reached the mark of 52 commitments as a professional in MMA. The triumph over Chris confirmed the 39th positive result in the athlete's career, who is recovering from the defeat he suffered against Marcin tybura, in October 2020.

A newcomer to the organization, Barnett managed to show off some of his mixed martial arts repertoire. The effort, however, ended up not being enough and the athlete's streak of six victories was interrupted.

With an opponent chosen at the last minute, David Dvorak he had no difficulties against Juancamilo Ronderos. With a confident performance in front of the substitute Raulian paiva, who left the event after failing the weight cut, the North American proved his superiority and confirmed yet another positive result in Ultimate. With a rear naked choke, using just one hand, the combatant forced his rival to tap out in less than three minutes of confrontation.

Dvorak's triumph confirmed the athlete's great moment. Current number 11 in the flyweight division (up to 56,7kg), the fighter now has 16 positive results in a row.

With the challenge of stepping into the Octagon with just over 24 hours to go, Juancamilo made his debut with the company. The defeat to David marked the first setback in the Colombian's career, who was undefeated in four MMA appearances.

Alves starts well, but suffers a comeback and loses by points

In his first fight for the UFC, Rafael Alves ended up not having the expected result. Although the clash against Damir Ismagulov, contested at lightweight (up to 70,3 kg), started well, the Brazilian ended up giving way to the Russian promise. After three rounds, the man from Pará was defeated by unanimous decision from the judges.

In the opening seconds of the clash, Alves gave his opponent his business card. With heavy hands, the athlete came close to a knockout. Imagulov, however, knew how to control the situation, recovering and dominating Rafael for the rest of the match.

Working in the under-70,3kg group, Rafael should have debuted in the organization in UFC Las Vegas 19. The Brazilian, however, surprised by 'breaking the scale' by more than 5kg, surpassing the featherweight limit (up to 65,7kg) and being cut from the show. After the incident, the man from Pará decided to move up a category.

Russia's promise in Ultimate, Damir extended the good phase of his career. Professional in MMA since 2014, the fighter now has 18 consecutive victories.
