After defeat at UFC 262, Michael Chandler believes he is not far from a new title fight

The North American stated that a victory over a top-5 player in the division could put him back in a duel for the lightweight belt

“I believe I will be fighting for the world title again by the first quarter of next year. On Monday, the UFC called me and said: 'Keep your head up. It was a phenomenal fight. You almost beat the world champion. We’re going to give you a top-5 guy,” said Chandler.

“I have a lot of fun fights ahead of me but I want to take some time off.
