At 37 years old, Canadian Jason MacDonald announces retirement

Veteran said he made the decision thinking about his family

Veteran Canadian fighter Jason MacDonald officially announced his retirement last Thursday (28). MacDonald confirmed the end of his career to the Sportsnet channel in his home country.

“I had a great career in MMA,” he told the portal MMA fighting. “I've traveled, met great people and done things I never would have dreamed of, because of MMA. It's been an honor to be in the UFC over the years, but now it's time to move on. I'm getting older, my four children are growing up fast. I will focus on my family and my gym CrossFit“, Finished.

PUBLICITY:

“The Athlete”, as he is known, had 41 fights as a professional. In total, there were 25 wins and 16 losses, with a record of 6-8 in the UFC. Since returning to Ultimate in 2010, MacDonald has not had regular performances and has had a series of defeats, finishing with three defeats and just one victory in his most recent stint with the organization.
