Renzo Gracie's Icelandic pupil, Gunnar Nelson, already has a new date set to return to the octagon. The 24-year-old fighter will fight the American veteran Mike pyle at UFC 160, scheduled for May 25, in Las Vegas.
Gunnar Nelson is undefeated in his career, with one draw and eleven wins – the two most recent in Ultimate. In his last fight, at UFC on Fuel TV 7, on February 16, the Icelander defeated Brazilian Jorge Santiago by unanimous decision from the judges.
Your opponent, Mike pyle, is 37 years old and has been in Ultimate since 2009. Pyle has a record of 24 wins, eight losses and one draw. The veteran, who has already beaten names like John Fitch, Ricardo Almeida and Josh Neer, is on a three-fight winning streak, the last of which was over James Head in the TUF 16 Finale.
UFC 160, in which Nelson and Pyle will face each other, is scheduled for May 25th at MGM Grand Garden arena, in Las Vegas (USA). Check out the fights already announced for the event below:
