Brazilian Augusto Gugu came close to shocking the world this Friday (07), in the co-main fight of the Bellator 258. Called at the last minute for the show's light heavyweight GP, the Brazilian athlete faced the favorite Anthony Johnson and came close to overcoming the favorite. However, he ended up being knocked out in the second round.
Right at the beginning of the fight, Gugu broke his right hand when he hit Johnson in the head. Even though he was unable to apply strikes such as direct strikes and overhands, the Brazilian was close to a knockout at the end of the first round. But Anthony managed to survive. On the way back to the second round, Johnson combined 1-2 and knocked out the Tupiniquim athlete.
