Representative of the flyweights (up to 56,7kg.) of Ultimate, Ryan Benoit had tense moments at the official weigh-in for the UFC Las Vegas 26, held on Friday afternoon. The athlete, who would face Zarrukh Adashev on the preliminary card, appeared very weak to step on the scale and was close to fainting, due to dehydration problems. After two attempts, the athlete ended up being removed from the show this Saturday (8).

When he appeared on camera to measure his weight, it was clear that Benoit had not gone through easy dehydration. Supported by his team, the athlete walked with difficulty and was unable to support himself when he stepped on the scale.
At first, the athlete was removed from the scene, without yet having confirmed his official weight. Minutes later, Ryan returned, still very weak. This time, the athlete managed to stay in the equipment long enough for the inspector to check the amount.
At 58,5kg, the fighter exceeded the division's limit and, moments later, it was confirmed that the fighter was stopped by the medical team. Thus, Benoit is out of the fight against Zarrukh Adashev this weekend.
As there was no time to find an opponent for Zarrukh, the athlete also ended up leaving the show.
