VIDEO: Werdum says that the result against Renan Problema will be changed by the PFL and says: 'He was dirty'

In an exclusive interview with SUPER LUTAS, 'Vai Cavalo' also spoke about a possible rematch and reveals that he didn't disappear in the decagon

Heavy weight (up to 120,2kg.) Fabricio Werdum is still not satisfied with the result of his fight against Renan Problem, valid for the main attraction of PFL 3 last Thursday (6). In an exclusive interview with SUPER FIGHTS channel, the fighter once again accused his compatriot of having given up on the fight and claims that the case is close to a solution.

After the controversial defeat, Werdum fired back at Problema. According to 'Vai Cavalo', Renan was 'dirty' in not assuming that he would have hit, but that the result will be reversed by the PFL for a positive result for him.

“Everything is fine now. The result will be out soon. When they raised his arm, it had to be done on television. You need to get the result right away. We are filing an appeal to be able to change, because everyone saw that (his victory) was not true. (It will be) my victory, since he hit. I have no problem losing, but I really need to lose. He was dirty and he knows it,” said Werdum.

The veteran also highlighted the moment of the fight, where he felt Renan Problem tap your shoulder. He claims that the Brazilian could end up having his career tarnished if he doesn't accept the 'two slaps' as a sign of giving up.

“I was relieved when he hit me on the shoulder. As I'm used to jiu-jitsu, it's normal for us to let go. I was attacking the arm and the neck, like I did with Fedor (Emelianenko), who only hit once and I let go. I think the judge was not well positioned, but what also counts a lot is the character of Renan (Problem). He has a lot ahead of him and it's going to get ugly for him, because everyone saw that he really hit. So, it was a cheat. He was very bad-natured. He was happy to have continued after crashing and he knows it”, continued the gaucho.

REMATCH? WHAT NOTHING…

When asked about a possible second fight to take the test, Fabricio Werdum believes that it will not happen. This is because, according to him, there will be no point in facing Renan Problem, if you get six points in the light heavyweight rankings (up to 120,2kg.).

“I think everyone follows their own path. We will now have to wait for the results from the Athletic Commission to see who will score – which would be me, because he scored. I've never been one to cheat and want to put my opponent to sleep, because I have to respect them 100%. I didn't meet (Renan's team) afterwards, but we can read people very well. They are not so happy and know that he hit. For his career, the decision he makes between continuing with the lie and admitting that he was wrong will be very important”, highlighted 'Vai Cavalo'.

NOT DELETED

After freeing yourself from the triangle, Renan Problem continued throwing blows at ground and pound em Fabricio Werdum until the central referee interrupts. However, the gaucho reveals that he did not 'black out' in the decagon and highlights his opponent's subtle movement after the fight.

“I was conscious. I went straight to watch the video, because I knew he had crashed. You could clearly see that he knocked twice. I don't know Renan, but for his career he needs to review this well. When you win a cool fight, against a legend, you're going to post something. Go celebrate or do something on social media. But he didn’t do it, because he knows and it will depend a lot on him to admit it”, he concluded.

UNDERSTAND THE CONTROVERSY

The fight got off to a lively start between the fighters, with both fighters throwing flying tackles in the opening seconds. Werdum took advantage of the opportunity and put the fight down. When he tried to make transitions, Renan Problem managed to reverse the situation. Then, the controversy happened.

When falling into a triangle, the 'giant' would have tapped as a way of withdrawing from the fight. However, the fight was not stopped and he continued delivering hard blows to 'Vai Cavalo' until the referee stopped him.
