Faber and Jorgensen make new main fight of TUF 17 Finale

Another fighter was injured before a fight already scheduled by the UFC. This time the athlete sidelined due to injury is the flyweight champion, Demetrious Johnson, who would face John Moraga in the event The Ultimate Fighter 17 Finale, on April 13th. The Ultimate organization acted quickly and announced the replacement on the card, which now features a clash between rooster fighters Urijah faber and Scott Jorgensen as the main event.

Confirmation of the exchange was made by UFC president, Dana White, on his official account on Twitter. “Happy everyone is loving this season of TUF! The main fight of the event will be Urijah faber x Scott Jorgensen”, published the leader.

About the injured champion Demetrious Johnson, the origin of the injury that took him out of combat was not disclosed, nor how long the “Mighty Mouse” will be out of action for recovery.

With the replacement of the main fight, the TUF 17 Finale, continues with six fights confirmed so far (in addition to the decision of the reality show tournament): Urijah faber x Scott Jorgensen, Travis Browne x Gabriel Gonzaga “Napão”, Miesha Tate x Zingano cat, Cole Miller x Bart Palaszewski, Justin Lawrence x Daniel Pineda and Maximo Blanco x Sam Sicilia.
