Scared at the start of the fight, the beauty Ronda Rousey made history at UFC 157, an event held this Saturday (23), in Anaheim, in the United States. The blonde became the first woman to win in the Ultimate Octagon. The American judoka had a tougher fight than expected, but managed to submit Liz Carmouche with an arm-bar and defend the organization's women's bantamweight belt.

The fight

The fight between Ronda Rousey and Liz Carmouche was, according to event president Dana White, the hottest event in UFC history. And inside the octagon the women did not disappoint. Considered a clear favorite in the dispute, Rousey had a scare right from the start. She started closing the distance and took down her rival. But Carmouche managed to recover, reverse the position and get behind Ronda's back. From there, Liz managed a rear naked choke that almost scored one of the biggest upsets in the history of Ultimate. But with a lot of determination, Rousey managed to free herself from the chokehold and continue in the contest.

Confident in her game, Ronda once again took down her rival, passed her guard and worked with some blows from the top until she reached mount. After opening up space, the blonde went for the traditional outcome of her fights. She grabbed Liz's right arm, put her in a tight arm-bar and forced her rival to give up the fight.

As a result, Ronda Rousey extended his impressive streak of wins via armbar submissions in the first round. The triumph against Carmouche was the seventh and ended in the same way.
