The second edition of Affliction, which would have taken place on October 11th in Las Vegas, in the United States, has been postponed. The event that would have as its main event the duel between Josh Barnett and Andrei Arlovski, in addition to the participation of Brazilians Rogério Minotouro and Pedro Rizzo was rescheduled for 2009, probably for January 17th.
There is still no official statement from the organization regarding the postponement, but according to the MMAWeekly website, sources close to the event reported that ticket sales for the second edition of the show were much lower than expected, which would have contributed to the postponement.
