Lúcio Curado beats Sean Cubby and keeps the Jungle Fight belt

In the meeting between the two biggest MMA powers, Brazil got the better of the United States in the 49th edition of the Jungle Fight, an event held on Friday night (22), in Rio de Janeiro. In the main fight of the night, Lúcio Curado from Tocantins overcame North American Sean Cubby in a unanimous decision by the judges and successfully defended the organization's lightweight belt.

With former boxer Acelino Popó in his corner, Lúcio Curado from Tocantins started with everything against Sean Cubby. The Brazilian connected with a beautiful kick on the North American, who responded by taking down the Brazilian athlete. But connected to the duel, Lúcio managed to get up and the dispute continued with striking.

The second round began with Currado having a small advantage in the stand-up fight, however, following the same strategy as in the previous round, Cubby managed a takedown. But, again, Lúcio managed to get up and gave Sean a harsh punishment. With a series of blows, the North American shook and was almost knocked out. At the end of a very disputed duel, Lúcio Curado won the unanimous decision of the judges.
